Why Choose Us

Why Choose Harboroughmews

Why Harboroughmews Stands Out

At Harboroughmews, we believe every child deserves more than care — they deserve a home where they feel safe, valued, and truly understood. Our approach is built on compassion, consistency, and an unwavering belief that every child matters.

A Home, Not Just a Placement

Harboroughmews is a nurturing, therapeutic home designed to feel welcoming and secure. With a small capacity of up to two children, we provide a calm, family-style environment where young people receive individual attention, build trusting relationships, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

Child-Centred & Trauma-Informed Care

We place children at the heart of everything we do. Our care is trauma-informed, relationship-based, and tailored to each child’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Using approaches such as the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy), we help children heal, grow emotionally, and develop resilience for the future.

Dedicated, Skilled & Compassionate Staff

Our experienced staff team is carefully recruited, highly trained, and deeply committed to achieving positive outcomes. Continuous professional development, therapeutic consultation, and reflective practice ensure children are supported by adults who are consistent, empathetic, and skilled in managing emotional and behavioural needs..
